Unclad 2006, the Art & the Artists
Kaye Brunson
Kirkland WA

Kaye Brunson's education has combined to influence the work she now creates. She has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Seattle University, studied drawing, painting and ceramic sculpture at Kirkland Arts Center, then bronze, welding, mold making & kiln cast glass at Pratt Fine Arts Center... plus "The Figure in Clay" at the Bellevue Art Museum.

She has taken 1st Place & an Award of Excellence Ribbon for ceramic sculpture at the 2003 Evergreen State Fair followed by a 2nd Place for "Asleep" in 2005 at the Bothell Art Fair. Last year Kaye received an 'Honorable Mention' at the Kenmore Art Festival for her work entitled "Adirondack".

Professional affiliations include Kirkland Arts Center member and volunteer as well as the Pratt Fine Arts Center. Her work has been exhibited at Juried shows and in a two-person show in 2005 at the Lynnwood Library Gallery.
