| Lisa Gladstone Portland OR I am a working photographer whose approach is best defined as documentary. This honest and reflective style has followed me from my personal work and into my professional pursuits. It was birthed in the decision many years ago to leave behind the formal studio and embrace the world as my studio. Today I photograph on the edge, striving for honesty and freshness achieved by combining art and journalism. While I consider myself an emerging artist, I have a depth of background, which includes not only university training but also the privilege of studying with Martha Casanave, Cherie Hiser, David Hiser of National Geographic and Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist, Mike Lloyd. Last year, competing among artists from all over the world, I was one of a select group to be invited to show my work at Seattle Erotic Arts Festival. My work has also been displayed at White Gallery in Portland, Oregon. |
