Linda Horsley
Seattle WA
Linda received her BFA from University of Washington and MFA from Northwestern University where she taught after graduation, Basic Design. As an artist/planner she had organized exhibitions, been commissioned for seven public art pieces and created events including some with music and dance. She is a founding member of the City Museum in St. Louis that also has many examples of her artwork and was the Assistant Director of the St. Louis Architecture Museum located in the City Museum. In 2002 she published an Adult Fable book, which she wrote and illustrated, called "Nature's Play." Available at Elliott Bay book store in Seattle.
Fall 2004 she was employed as an adjunct instructor, teaching Color Theory at Cornish College of the Arts. In 2005, the Frye Museum offered two workshops by Linda. In 2005/06 she worked for the Seattle Art Museum. She is an active member of Seattle's Gallery 110 and her next one person show is April 2006 at the gallery in Pioneer Square. Since returning to Seattle two years ago, she had also joined a samba band "VAMOLA" playing gigs at venues such as Bumbershoot in Seattle Center. Linda plans to remain in the Pacific Northwest where she was born. |
