| Erin Libby Bellingham WA Painter, scuptor, animator, soft-goods designer, illustrator, writer, one-time-dancer and a teacher, Erin has a wide variety of experiences from which to create her paintings. In 1987, Erin moved to Bellingham. It is not surprising that fantasy and joyful color have always been signature characteristics of her paintings whether working in oil, pastel or egg-tempura. She explores a variety of subjects: still life, figurative works. abstracts, playfully constructed assemblages and portraits.The Pacific Northwest's charm and trips to Europe have inspired her to also adventure into landscape painting, always .. of course .. in her own magical style. Erin began her art training at an early age and by fourteen she started exhibiting her work to the public. Before she was 25 she had exhibited paintings and drawings in two national juried shows and was carried in galleries in Chicago, New York and Paris. Her work is unique. The drawing is skillful, the color often beyond nature and the mood very special. |
