"For me, capturing the defining gesture, that special attitude, is what makes painting so exciting. Whether it's a human figure or a McIntosh apple, the lines that give a subject life are what art is all about. Art is an ongoing learning process and after mastering the techniques, you must go on to find your own voice and a style that is rightfully your own."
Sharon works in acrylics, gouache, ink and watercolor. Her art education began in 1997 at the 'Crealde School of Art' and then moved on to the New York Studio School in Greenwich Village and the New York Studio School in West Palm Beach. Between 1999 and 2006 her art appeared almost primarily in central Florida at both Selected Juried Shows and Selected Exhibitions, picking up one First Place, two Second Places and four Honorable Mentions. She was invited in 2005 and 2006 to take part in the Biennale Internazionale in Florence, Italy. She is a member of the 'Orlando Visual Arts League, OVAL (Apr 2000 -present) and was a Fellow at the Crealde School of Art from Sept. 1997 - Dec 2000.
