Kathleen is a Seattle native and grew up on Beacon Hill. She admits to not being fond of school, remembering traumas she would as soon forget .. but .. she did like music -the flute, the piano and dancing and also recalls early drawings. She began her quest for knowledge through the pursuit of languages. 1973 - Spanish, 1975 - Italian and then " sneaking " back to the University of Washington in 1986 to study French.
