| Don Smith Sedro-Woolley WA Don Smith has been a Skagit Valley artist since moving here in 1974 while a student at the University of Washington. Currently a graphic designer for an organic foods company, he is happiest when drawing and painting from life- live models or beautiful Northwest landscapes. "When I begin a drawing or painting it starts a process of discovering what is beautiful or interesting about the subject. The longer I work on the piece, the more I see, and the more excited I get. Then I look to find a way to express those qualities in the picture. My ultimate goal is that the viewer will see it and feel it too." |
