Chris Vilardi
Astoria NY
My interest in spatial relations and stylized form is what most obviously defines my work. There is a fluidity between objects that I exploit and exaggerate in order to convey the beauty that exists in even the most innocuous of subjects. I push the boundaries of color and form in an attempt to alter others perception of their surroundings.
Chris recently completed a commission of St. Ignatius Loyola, an 8ft bronze statue, for the Lincoln Center, NYC and Arch Bishop Hughes, a 12" bronze sculpture for Fordham University in the Bronx.
His artwork has been show at Art Gotham in NYC, Gallery 402 in NYC, Vista Blue Gallery in Sydney, Australia, and Atelier Clorite in Chester, Connecticut. |
