Robert Creighton
Lynden Ontario Canada
Robert Creighton was born in Ontario, Canada in 1949. Currently he is head of Visual Arts for the Grand Erie District Board of Education and a lithography instructor at Hamilton Printmaker's Arts Association.
He received his formal education at Humber College, McMaster University, The Edinburgh College of Art and The University of Toronto. He previously taught at Brock University, McMaster University and the University of Guelph.
Robert works in most all Visual Arts media but Printmaking is his preferred choice of media both for its expressive qualities and possibilities and its technical rigors. His figurative works are contemporary investigations into humanity's meaningfulness in the modern world.
Art works presenting the human figure provide all of us with the opportunity to connect, very directly, our life experience with the art. We can interpret the works based on our current knowledge and relate the images to what we know and believe. Mysteries and meanings are layered within these expressive paintings. They have much to share. |
