| Paul Hoelscher Baker City OR Paul Hoelscher is a full-time professional artist and art instructor in Baker City, Oregon. He earned a bachelor's degree in art and economics from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota and has lived in Oregon since 1995. Paul paints with acrylics, watercolors, pastels, and oils, and draws with many dry media and ink. He works faithfully with his sketchbooks and can be seen drawing or painting from life just about anywhere in the region -- often and most happily, with his family exploring very near by. Paul's artwork has won awards in juried contests and shows throughout Oregon and Washington and has been published with the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and the Northwest Watercolor Society. He has had the honor of being a featured artist on Oregon Public Broadcasting's 'Oregon Art Beat' and his paintings and drawings are part of private and public collections in Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, Idaho, California, Wyoming, and Utah. Paul's work is represented by Indigo Gallery in Joseph, Oregon, Jack Dennis' Wyoming Gallery, and Brown's Gallery in Boise, Idaho. |
