Hope-Arthur
Stanwood WA

Ella Hope was born into a lineage of medical doctors. At the age of 22, she emerged from death experience with a committment to the healing path. With an honors B.A. in English, she continued with twelve years of technical dance training, five years of yoga practice, participation with First Peoples, and graduate schools in Clinical Psychology, Dance Therapy, and World Cultures.

It wasn't until a dance-related cervical spine injury, however, that she reached her deeper calling and developed the skills to self-heal with nature. She developed the Practice of Seven Phase Elemental Healing in Bermuda, and then honed the Practice and the book HEALING THROUGH NATURE for eight years in landscapes across North America and Hawaii.

Patrick Arthur has been skydiving since 1969, when he first joined the army to go to Vietnam. He now has over 6500 skydives, for most of which, he has been the videographer for the group.

Patrick's work in video and photography is therefore at high speeds. He travels through the air at up to 150 mph in free-fall, while shooting the camera.

Together, Patrick and Ella have created the Photographic Collections of Healing Through Nature. Since both artists are movement oriented, the photo shoots are much like a choreographed dance that involve both subject and the objective observer, or photographer.

Patrick and Ella have been collaborating artistically for five years now.
