Edward Ancher Nelson
Seattle WA
Edward Ancher Nelson was born in Minneapolis and grew up mostly in Minnesota with brief sojourns to Cleveland, ohio and Ithaca, New York.
A lot of his creative outlet in the early years came from playing sports but he wasn't fast enough, tall enough, big enough or good enough to carry that through.
So he turned to art, where he was at least fast enough, churning out paintings like they were going out of style, and he was tall enough, although some of his paintings are humongous and he had to step on a stool to paint some of them.
Edward has exhibited his work at the Jackson Street Studios Open House, Glo's Diner on Capital Hill, SOIL Art Gallery in Seattle, Center on Contemporary Art in Seattle, and Whitney Museum of Arts at Seattle Pacific University. |
