| Thu Nguyen Everett WA Originally from Vietnam, Thu Nguyen has been a resident of Everett, WA since 1991. He learned to work with wood when we was young ... a friend of his father's taught him to make furniture with only a hand tool. He then learned carving and was inspired to create classical human sculpture by a neighbor's daughter who collected pictures and books about the sculptures of Italy, France, and Greece. All of Thu's work is done by hand. Absolutely no power tools or machinery of any kind are used. Thu has won "Best of Show" at wood carving shows in Washington, Oregon, Tennessee, and Vancouver, B.C. |
