| Carole Turner Portland OR Sculptor Carole Turner was born in 1957 in Portland, Oregon. While always intending to be an artist, she was encouraged to chart a more practical course. After studying business at Portland State University and NYU and non-art careers in Portland and New York, Carole decided it was time to chart her own course. Years of international travel and exposure to museums, galleries, artists' studios, along with studies at Art Students League, PNCA, various workshops and much personal study and experimentation, led Carole to a career creating and enlarging realistic figurative sculpture for large-scale monuments throughout the United States and now as a professional sculptor commissioned and exhibiting internationally. |
