Carrie Vielle
Farmington WA
'In much of my work, I try to capture the quiet but multifaceted moments of the human condition; bodies in repose but far from at rest and seemingly-daydreaming expressions revealing themselves to be truly deep in complex thought. My introspective portraits attempt to bring the subject and story of the scene beyond the format of the work into the sensibility of the viewer through the commonality of human experience.î
Carrie grew up in Victoria, B.C, in a family immersed in the arts. Her family members include fine artists, photographers/film makers, theater and film actors, writers, jazz and rock musicians and composers, all of whom enriched Carrie's art education. Carrie earned a double bachelors degree in Studio Art and Art History from Eastern Washington University, and a Master of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Art History Studies.
Professionally, Carrie teaches art and design classes for the SFCC Interior Design Department. She also works as a tour guide for custom art and cultural workshop tours in Europe. Despite her busy schedule, Carrie makes time to create her art works for clients and designers in the community. |
